The valley of roses –
From Mgoun to Dadés
(1 week–E) N°9 on the map
In the heart of
the Atlas, in the valleys of M’Goun and of Dadés, for at least six centuries
rose bushes have blossomed at an altitude of 1500m on the slopes of M’goun next
to streams. The succession of canyons where we must tread water is the only
access to these luxurious rose gardens.
A unique and fragrant trek, which often combines canyons and gorges, typical
local villages and kasbahs of grand architecture. Encounters with the Berber
world…and the rose of Damascus. |
